Sound familiar?

Have a product problem?

01

Too many products, not enough clarity.

02

The collection grew. The structure didn't.

03

Margins look fine on paper. Somewhere, they're not.

04

Our pricing exists. We're not sure it makes sense.

05

We can describe our competitors. We can't understand them.

06

Good products, individually. Confusing portfolio, overall.

07

Stock that's stuck, or missing exactly when you need it.

08

You don't know which products aren't selling, or why.

09

Products sitting in the wrong place, in the wrong quantity.

10

Adding a new product or product line feels harder than it should.

If a couple of these sound familiar, we should talk.

About

Experience built around products.

Juan Degwitz

Six years across international product and category management, inside sports, lifestyle and outdoor brands.

Across my career, I've managed category and portfolio strategy end to end, building assortment architecture, defining Good/Better/Best structures, optimizing SKU portfolios, and developing pricing strategies that balance competitiveness and profitability.

I have hands-on experience in product development, taking products from initial concept and specifications through sampling, sourcing, production, and launch. I’ve worked directly with factories in Asia, including on-site visits to review samples, production lines, and quality standards.

I’ve managed supplier and key account relationships, maintaining strong communication while negotiating pricing, MOQs, target costs, and production terms, as well as resolving quality, delivery, and commercial issues when they arise.

I turn market research, competitive benchmarking, and performance data into clear growth opportunities, then translate them into products, from briefs and specifications to sourcing, target costing, supplier management, and launch.

Commercially, I focus on the metrics that drive better decisions: margins, SKU profitability, GMROI, and product performance, identifying what to grow, improve, or cut.

I also connect product strategy with brand positioning, segmentation, and storytelling, ensuring the portfolio supports a clear market identity. Having built my own brand, I bring an entrepreneurial perspective where every product, cost, and inventory decision has a real financial consequence.

My Mechanical Engineering background brings technical depth; my MBA brings commercial thinking. My work sits at the intersection of product, brand, and profitable growth.
